We don't need backpacks and shoes!

We have a room waiting for US ONLY, but it needs a little fixing before welcoming us: painting the walls, replacing curtains, tables, chairs, and bookshelves, and all the materials for learning and experimenting freely, guided by instinct, internal stimuli, and the emotions of the moment.

We don't have frontal lessons. We give meaning to the learning experience thanks to specific, dedicated materials designed and created with a specific method, the Montessori method.

THERE IS NO TIME TO LOSE, WE NEED TO START the work in mid-July to have everything ready for the start of the school year. September is around the corner!

• 1st GOAL With the first € 5,000, you will help us buy the initial Montessori materials for children aged 6 to 8 for language, arithmetic, geometry, science, and interdisciplinary subjects. Additionally, we will be able to arrange and furnish the room with basic furniture, creating an "environment rich in points of interest that lend themselves to activities and invite the child to conduct their own experiences" - M. Montessori.

This is the MINIMUM GOAL to achieve in order to ensure the START of the project.

• 2nd GOAL - If we reach the second step of €3,500, we will also be able to purchase Montessori materials for language and grammar, arithmetic, geometry, science, interdisciplinary subjects, and geography suitable for children aged 9 to 11, who have different learning needs. They require tools that meet more mature interests, abilities, and skills. Finally, we will be able to complete the room furnishings with rugs and front-facing bookshelves that are fundamental to Montessori education and the child free movement.
  
  
• 3rd GOAL If we reach the third step of €2,800, we will be able to fully realize OUR DREAM! We will build the educational woodworking area, set up the art area with easels and stations for manipulating natural materials, take care of the garden animals and the vegetable garden, and purchase materials for theater activities.

BEYOND INFINITY. Let's reach the stars and the world of the invisible: with additional donations, we can purchase a microscope to analyze and observe even the smallest things, and a telescope for our celestial observations of the sun, moon, and other planets.

WHO WE ARE: PROJECT GIRAFFA INTRODUCES ITSELF.

We are the natural evolution of the blossoming path that each of the founding members has personally undertaken. We wish to contribute to making the world a better place, starting from the MOST PRECIOUS RESOURCE we have: CHILDREN. We have the desire to bring something innovative to the community, not just a physical space where every child is welcomed in their uniqueness and supported to develop their talents to the fullest! That's why we want to create a parental education reality for children from the first to the fifth grade, based on Montessori pedagogical principles, the democratic circle, and much more. As adults, we are not the builders of the child, we are their custodians - M. Montessori.

Why did we choose crowdfunding? WE CHOSE CROWDFUNDING

BECAUSE WE WANT IT TO BE A PROJECT OF THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY. 

We want each supporter to feel part of this GRATITUDE

We believe that beauty is contagious, and that's why we want to SHARE THE GIFTS WE HAVE RECEIVED with the community by opening the doors of Progetto Giraffa to adolescents and adults.

We want to become a launching pad to stimulate the growth of both young and grown ups! That's why the room will be open to the community for afternoon and evening activities accessible to everyone.

How? Through creative writing workshops, philosophical gatherings, theater, activities and movement in nature, woodworking, history courses, in-depth meetings on various aspects of life, non-violent communication workshops... in short, a place from which change begins!

BUT TO BE ABLE TO DO ALL THIS, WE NEED A READY AND WELCOMING ROOM BY EARLY SEPTEMBER!
