This year the Festival has reached an incredible milestone: the celebration of our 15th year of activity.
Despite all the struggles and a pandemic that bent us, but didn't break us, we are still here, expanding our mission and working hard to meet our most important goal: keep amplifying the work of photographers who give voice to the voiceless and keep supporting their work using our platform.
As 2024 marks this anniversary, we have launched our first crowdfunding whose goal will be to produce a special publication celebrating the Festival and the photographers who joined us on this incredible journey.

THE PROJECT
This publication celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Festival of Ethical Photography will offer an incredible journey through a decade and a half of extraordinary images and engaging stories, which we had the opportunity to show in Lodi thanks to the precious collaboration and support of award-winning photojournalists and documentary photographers.
Through the pages of this publication, we will offer the opportunity to explore the evolution of ethical photography from 2010 onward, immersing ourselves in a variety of social, environmental, and cultural themes captured by the lenses of photographers in every corner of the planet. Alongside the visual narration of some of the projects hosted at the Festival over the years, we will also include the words of the authors who have approached the stories, and who will stimulate our reflection on crucial issues that define contemporary society.
In an era when the freedom of the press is threatened, photography is a crucial tool of expression because of its unique power to shape public opinion and ignite social change. For this reason, and thanks to the support of the Festival Educational Team, if we reach the goal, we also aim at reaching educators by offering them this publication and digital kits so that they can use the material in the classroom to raise awareness of the importance of literacy through photography.
The funds raised will cover the following costs:
- content editing
- translations (the publication will be in English and Italian)
- editing of the pictures
- layout creation and design
- printing costs (for 200 copies)

If we reach the first goal before the deadline (JULY 7th, 2024), we’re going to start a second phase of the crowdfunding campaign, increasing the number of copies to be published to offer the opportunity to own this amazing publication to more people and more educators!

-amplifying the work of photographers;
-enhancing their commitment to documenting issues that do not always reach traditional media, but which are fundamental for the development of a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable society;
-receiving an unpublished and limited edition publication marking the 15th anniversary of the Festival of Ethical Photography
Il Festival della Fotografia Etica nasce nel 2010 da un’idea del Gruppo Fotografico Progetto Immagine, associazione no-profit con sede a Lodi, con l’intento di focalizzare l’attenzione del grande pubblico su contenuti di grande rilevanza etica, avvicinandolo a tematiche sociali. Un ricco programma di mostre di fotoreporter internazionali pluripremiati, si accompagna a incontri tematici, workshop, letture portfolio, videoproiezioni, visite guidate, talk d’autore, presentazioni di libri, progetti educational per studenti e tante altre iniziative. Oltre all’evento annuale che si svolge ogni autunno (settembre e ottobre), l’organizzazione del Festival lavora quotidianamente per far si che il lavoro dei fotografi sia condiviso e le loro voci ascoltate attraverso numerose altre iniziative quali il Travelling Festival, mostre che sono ideate e curate a Lodi e viaggiano per l’Italia e l’Europa.
